Consigning expensive single items or collections to the major rooms is often made easier and more profitable to a consigner by using a qualified intermediary: an established regular buying client of the house (a high-end dealer like myself or others) who knows the tricks of the trade, knows the personnel, and will have ongoing business with them long after your item or collection is sold.
